Even as a little girl, the spirits called to Mianii. Her distraught parents finally presented her with a choice: Leave the spirits, or leave us. Mianii left home to roam the plains of Nagrand, where she lived on her own among the neighboring orcs. Her connection to the spirits grew deeper, and she shared her knowledge of them with her orc comrades. But one day the winds brought a dire warning, a whisper of ill omens among the orcs. Mianii fled across the plains, hiding from the marauding orcs who only days ago had been her friend. Her parents in Shattrath were not spared, but her grandfather Archive:Daaro survived the slaughter.
Mia prefers the solitary life, roaming the wilderness with the spirits for company, though she keeps in touch with her grandfather through letters, keeping a tenuous tie to the rest of draenei society.
She avoids other people whenever possible, though she is guardedly friendly toward orcs, hoping that they might have returned to their peaceful ways. Mia is also intensely curious about trolls, having learned that many of them also speak with spirits. Among the Alliance, Mia is wary, having had bad experiences with humans and night elves. Even her own kind cause her worry, as many are unaccepting or outright hostile toward seers.
