Background[]
Ornasse is an exceedingly ancient night elf, born amidst the sprawling roots of Nordrassil. He was among Malfurion's early students, following the path laid before him by Cenarius. For most of his expansive life, Ornasse dwelt within the Emerald Dream, protecting and serving Ysera and her brood. Like all able-bodied adult elves, he stirred from the Dream during times of war to lend his talents, but the Dream was always his true home.
When he was most recently jarred from his slumber, he awoke to a world far different than the one he had left. Strangers trampled through their sacred forests, the tree shattered, and their immortality gone -- how could it be worse? In spite of all warnings against it, the General Staghelm had begin the planting of a new tree. It was all too much for Ornasse, and unable to return to the troubled Dream, he instead fled across the ocean. He had heard tales of lands ravaged by plague, and if he could not rebuild the Dream, he could at least lend his aid there.
Though he vocally opposed the growth of Teldrassil, Ornasse never severed his ties with the Cenarion Circle completely. After the Dark Portal was opened, the Circle requested his aid in rebuilding the broken lands of Draenor. Feeling he had not made much progress in the Plaguelands, Ornasse gladly accepted the assignment. To his surprise, he found the forests of Terokkar not so different from his home in Ashenvale, and he remained there long after his assignment was fulfilled.
It was during his stay in Outland that he met the Warden called Naeva, with hair like moonlight and a wounded heart. He promptly fell in love with her, and requested to court her. To his great surprise, she agreed, and it was not long before they were married. His daughter, Taessa, was but a few months old when the Frostwyrms attacked, and Ornasse was once again called to duty by the Circle.
This time, his aid was sought by the dragons of Wyrmrest Temple.
The Bronze Dragonflight[]
Renner and Ornasse
Like most druids, Ornasse has a close relationship with Ysera and the green brood. But as a veteran of the War of the Shifting Sands, he is familiar with the bronzes as well. One particular dragon requested his aid through the green Ambassador, Lord Itharius. Renzdormu, or "Renner" as he presently prefers to be called, is aging in reverse. An aged dragon during the time of the War, he fought beside Ornasse and now, as a young drake, has sought his aid. The elf knows only that Renner means to change some event in the past, probably in relation to the Nightmare, and that it involves Taessa in some way -- but the dragon will not reveal more to him than that. In spite of Renner's best efforts, the timeway split and Ornasse is now separated from Naeva and their daughter.
